Our System:

How does our Debt Management System work?

You rely on timely payments to fund critical services. Having a lot of receivables causes a strain on your funding resources. By easily inputting or importing debt into the EES Debt Management System, you can finally take control of your receivables. Our System automatically sends debtors the required notices and provides them with an easy payment method. The system can be configured to mark debt as delinquent and create a file in any format to send to a collection agency.

Why do I need a Debt Management System?

Having an EES Debt Management System will allow you to focus on other aspects of your job instead of calling debtors, mailing letters, and taking payments over the phone. It keeps track of your accounts receivables, payments, and can create the necessary reports for audits and budgeting.

Why would I send my debt to collections?

Once a debt becomes delinquent, the chances of recovering money decreases. Collection agencies can actively pursue debt collections by calling and sending letters. They can file suit and obtain judgements to issue bank levies and wage garnishments.

What types of debt can be managed by the DMS?

Any debt owed to your entity can be managed in the EES DMS. Examples include, but are not limited to, court costs, damage to government property, payroll overpayments, employee theft, fines, parole fees, unpaid medical insurance premiums, parking and speeding tickets, sewer and water bills, unpaid city and parish taxes, and recoupment of improperly spent grants.

What does this cost my agency?

Nothing! In most cases, you can add a collection fee to the debt balance to pay the administrative costs associated with collecting the delinquent debt. EES’s DMS will add and keep track of this collection fee for you. EES will cover the cost of mailing the notices for our customers. Our payment will come out of the collection fee according to the terms of the agreement only when a payment is made.
